Our modern culture is not much different than the Pre-Islamic culture in the Arabian Peninsula before 630 C.

Many things that we are practicing today was practiced in pre-Islamic Arabia, Allah sent Islam to stop this actions, but after 1400 years the people still practicing it, but they are giving it other names.

Pre-Islamic religion in Arabia was indigenous polytheistic beliefs next to Christianity, Judaism. And the upper class had more rights than other citizens, in many so-called democratic countries in our modern world we still see the different between the upper class and the lower class and how the corruption can change everything to the worse, in the Pre-Islamic culture the prostitution was allowed, they used a red flag in front of the tent to tell that this tent is made for the prostitution and some had gays, boys.

Interest rates was common in the economic system, it wasn't called interest rates at this time it was called Riba "usury" it was a loan and abusive interest rates and if the person can pay the money back then the rich person who loaned him the money can take his house or animals. The only different in our modern world is that the Bank who is doing this.

Race,Color Supremacy, Neo Nazi and White Supremacy is old ideas, in Pre Islamic Arabia the people were not equal to each other, it depends on the family and the ancestors, the one who came from strongest known family should be treated better than the rest.

The Magic was common in pre Islamic Arabia combined with astrology and luck games, the farmer will not work in his farm before knowing his luck, the traders will not go to the market without asking a magician about the future.

In Pre Islamic Arabia the veil was forbidden, the slave woman was forced to show her hair and parts of her body, the free women were allowed to cover the hair and modest clothes was for the rich,free women only.

In our modern world many people want to forbid the veil and force women to show their hair and parts of their body and refuse the modest clothes.

Drinking and Gambling was the common things to do to waste your time in Pre-Islamic Arabia, there was special places for drinking and gambling and it was called "clubs". not much different than our modern society.

The wars, weapons,aggressive behavior,killing,stealing,manipulation,gossip,adultery,cheating and a long list that will make our modern world can win against the barbarians in Pre-Islamic Arabia, or even the dark age.

If someone who lived in Pre-Islamic Arabia or the Dark Age appeared in any city in our modern world and watched how we are living now, he will be shocked from the technology because it will be his first time to see cars,trains and internet but once he get used to the technology he may find out that we are not civilized as we claim.

Are we really civilized yet or we are living as they were living thousands years ago and the only difference is we drive fancy cars and use internet ?
